The Essential Thailand Explorer: Culture, Nature, & Daily Life.

(Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Ayutthaya, Krabi)

Bangkok

Twelve million people. Elevated trains. Futuristic malls with Ferraris and Lamborghinis in the window.
Yet the glass towers cast their shadows over spirit houses, street vendors, barefoot monks and drifting incense.
This is your Bangkok — from the Grand Palace and its hypnotic temples, to the flower and farmers’ markets, a longtail boat through the ancient canals, and finally a nocturnal city of markets, rooftop bars, high-end restaurants and street food: dreamlike and Felliniesque.

With more than two decades of experience designing private journeys in South-East Asia, we specialize in tailoring every detail to your comfort, interests, and requests.
Our itineraries are starting points — take them as they are, adjust the pace and duration per destination, or let us design something entirely new around you.

The Essential Thailand Explorer: Culture, Nature, & Daily Life. (10 Days/ 9 Nights)
(Bangkok, Kanchanaburi, Ayutthaya, Krabi)

Bangkok: 3 nights at the legendary riverfront Mandarin Oriental. A deep dive into the city’s history, temples, street food, markets and river life.
Tailored visits, shaped around your pace.

River Kwai, one night in the jungle at Float House
Leave Bangkok behind for a true nature hideaway in the jungle on the River Kwai Noi — a resort reachable only by traditional longtail boat.
On the way, stop at two of Thailand’s most famous markets: the Maeklong Railway Market, where vendors pull back their stalls as the train squeezes through, and the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, best explored by boat among vendors selling fruit, noodles, and coconuts from the water. Enjoy lunch on a floating restaurant, with the iconic Bridge on the River Kwai as your view.
Board the Death Railway train for its most spectacular stretch, crossing the Wang Po viaduct — cliffs on one side, river far below on the other.
Late in the evening, arrive by boat at the Float House Resort: Surrounded by dense jungle canopy and sheer limestone cliffs, this intimate riverside property offers an incredibly peaceful setting to unwind and enjoy a fantastic night in nature.
The next morning, choose your own pace: hike or swim in the emerald, multi-tiered pools of Erawan National Park; spend time at an ethical elephant sanctuary, learning about rehabilitation and bathing the elephants in the river; or dive into history with a visit to Hellfire Pass and the local war museums.

In the afternoon, head onward to Ayutthaya.

Ayutthaya, one night at Sala riverside boutique hotel
Visit a curated selection of Ayutthaya’s main historical sites, part of the UNESCO World Heritage-listed ancient capital, including the towering chedis of Wat Phra Si Sanphet, the atmospheric, vine-wrapped Buddha head at Wat Mahathat, and the riverside grandeur of Wat Chaiwatthanaram.

Wrap up the land journey with an onward flight from Bangkok to Krabi.

Krabi
Rayavadee Resort, Krabi 4 nights (Best Period: Nov–Mar)

(If your travel dates fall outside this window, we’re happy to suggest alternative island destinations better suited to the season).
Hidden within Krabi Marine National Park on the isolated Phranang Peninsula, Rayavadee is a 5-star luxury eco retreat reachable only by a scenic 20-minute speedboat transfer, cut off from the mainland by towering limestone cliffs. Its circular pavilions and beachfront pool villas are spread across 26 acres of coconut groves, designed to preserve the jungle canopy — home to resident langur monkeys, exotic birds, and lizards.
Adventure and relaxation both have a place here: snorkeling trips to the Phi Phi Islands, rock climbing on Railay’s famous cliffs, sea kayaking, Thai cooking classes, and jungle treks to waterfalls and emerald pools. And for dining, few experiences match The Grotto — Rayavadee’s acclaimed restaurant tucked into a limestone cave right on the beach.
