Private Siem Reap Tour: Angkor Temples & Village Life (4 Days)

Angkor Temples, Countryside Villages or Tonle Sap

This private tour takes place in Siem Reap and focuses on the historical and cultural highlights of the area. It includes guided visits to the main UNESCO World Heritage temples, such as Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm, and Banteay Srei, as well as lesser-known sites in the northern part of the Angkor complex.

The itinerary includes a choice between visiting the floating village of Kompong Khleang or exploring rural villages by tuk tuk, depending on the season and your interests.
The countryside option includes stops at a rice noodle workshop, a sugar palm village, and a monk blessing ceremony.
Two evening shows are included: a modern cultural performance by young Cambodian artists and a traditional Apsara dance dinner.

The tour can be combined with an extension to the Khmer temples in Thailand for a wider overview of Khmer architecture and history across both countries.

All our tours are private, customizable, and can begin on any date.

Depending on your arrival time, take an introductory visit to the Roluos temple group, one of the earliest Angkor temple complexes.

Day 2: Angkor Temples & Cultural Performance
Full-day visit to Angkor Wat, Banteay Srei, and Ta Prohm.
In the evening, attend a cultural performance by young Cambodian artists, presenting scenes from Cambodia’s history—including the Khmer Rouge era—and aspects of present-day society.

Day 3: Angkor Thom & National Museum
In the morning, visit the northern section of the Angkor complex, including Preah Khan, Neak Pean, Thommanon, and Chau Say Tevoda.
In the afternoon, explore Angkor Thom: Bayon Temple, the restored Baphuon, and the Terrace of the Leper King.
End the day at the Angkor National Museum, with time to visit its eight thematic galleries.
Dinner with Apsara dance performance.

Day 4: Village Life & Monk Blessing or Kampong Khleang
Depending on the season and your preferences, choose between two experiences:
Option 1 – Floating Village (Kompong Khleang)
Early morning excursion to Kompong Khleang, a stilted village about 40 km from Siem Reap. Take a boat through the canals leading to Tonle Sap Lake and see local houses, schools, and boats adapted to the changing water levels.
Option 2 – Village Life & Monk Blessing
Tuk tuk ride through the countryside to visit farms, rice fields, and rural villages. Learn how traditional rice noodles are made and taste the local dish Nom Bahn Chok. Visit a family processing sugar palm fruit, then take part in a monk blessing ceremony at a nearby pagoda.
After the visit, transfer to the airport according to your flight schedule.
(An extra night in Siem Reap can be arranged on request.)
